The feature of pinning messages has been something WhatsApp has been experimenting with, and it's now official. This is currently being released out for iOS and Android, making it simpler to draw attention to the crucial ones so that locating them won't be a headache. It may also be accessed using WhatsApp Desktop and Web.
This follows the release of two beta upgrades for the same by WhatsApp. The functionality was released for select Android beta testers back in October. Among the many message formats you may pin are texts, polls, photos, emoticons, and more. All of these communication formats have the benefit of end-to-end encryption. The messages have three options for how long they may remain pinned: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. The default setting is 7 days.
For both individual and group chats, this is possible. Admins have the choice to provide members of a group chat the ability to pin messages, or they may keep it to themselves. Everyone will be able to see who pinned a message and if it has been pinned!
How to Pin WhatsApp Messages
- Head to a WhatsApp chat and tap and hold a message you want to pin
- On iOS, tap the ‘More‘ option and the ‘Pin‘ option to do the deed. Go for the three-dotted menu on Android and then the ‘Pin‘ option.
A message may be rapidly unpinned by long-pressing it and choosing the 'Unpin' option. Furthermore, WhatsApp now allows you to send audio messages using the View Once feature and check the status of your iOS call connection to make sure it stays steady.
That of Adibri Consider
In addition to the pinned conversations feature that has been around for a while, WhatsApp now offers pinned messages. Additionally, you may star messages to keep the ones that are most essential, although this adds another step to accessing them, and pinned messages may be more helpful. It's unclear, however, whether the starred message feature allows you to pin more than one message.
The functionality is currently being rolled out, but it should soon be available to everyone. So, are pinned messages accessible on WhatsApp? Do you consider this to be a helpful feature? Tell us in the comments section below.
