Users of WhatsApp May Soon Be Able to Finally Customize the Theme Color!

WhatsApp has updated the user interface of both its iOS and Android applications significantly. The whole makeover has been a significant upgrade for WhatsApp, ranging from redesigned icons and new colors to new features like multi-account support and Channels.

According to a recent WABetaInfo story that has leaked online, the app is working on allowing iOS users to alter the colors of the theme.

WhatsApp to Let Users Customize App Colors for iOS Users

As of right present, WhatsApp users may only choose between the bright and dark options when changing their theme. It does not, however, allow you to alter the basic green hue that is an integral component of WhatsApp's logo.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a new feature called "app color" that will allow users to customize the look of the app. This is expected to change shortly. First reports of this functionality date back to iOS beta version 24.1.10.70.

For the time being, there will be five distinct color choices available, as shown in the picture above. Furthermore, we can see that the color will be used across the app, as shown by the unread messages indication and the message receipt time. Green, blue, white, pink, and purple seem to be the current five color selections available in the app.

The article also suggests that users of WhatsApp could be able to modify the chat window's bubble color. But keep in mind that this functionality is still under development and isn't yet available to users of iOS beta apps.

Furthermore, there has been no mention of Android receiving this capability. We do anticipate the theme changing capability coming to Android, however, based on WhatsApp's history of feature parity support.

Users now have greater control over how the chat looks, something that was previously unattainable. The option to modify the app's color achieves just that. Without a question, this feature will represent one of the largest updates WhatsApp has ever made when it launches.

Are you eager to add a color other than green to your WhatsApp profile picture? Please feel free to discuss this feature in the comments section below.
