At first, we assumed that her inability to speak was a result of the trauma she had experienced from seeing her family members slain in front of her. The Boys Season 4 Episode 7 has, however, disclosed Kimiko's true speechless cause.
Kimiko's Speech Is Impairment Due to Events at Shining Light
As we previously witnessed, the Shining Light Liberation Army slaughtered Kimiko's parents and also abducted her brother. The terrorist group kidnapped Kimiko and forced her to labor for them. She was transported to America after a few years, where she underwent Compound V experimentation and developed into a superpower with the ability to regenerate herself.In The Boys Season 4 Episode 7, it was revealed that Kimiko was taught to fight by Shining Light and that she was forced to compete against other females, with the winner being the first to die if they were hurt. Kimiko murdered many females in order to live, and she was unable to communicate after that.The Boys Season 4 Episode 7 so discloses that Kimiko's inability to speak stems from her remorse after murdering defenseless girls in order to survive. She shares this tale with Frenchie to let him know that she understands his feelings and that he may speak to her about everything that has happened in the past, including murdering Colin's family.
