However, considering its advantages, shouldn't you never deactivate the incognito mode? That is, unless you have children or other young people who need adult supervision.
You won't be able to view any records of the child's online searches since incognito mode doesn't save history or other information. This clever technique fills that need. However, how can you disable incognito mode entirely in any browser? We've included instructions for using Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. So let's get started right now!
How to Disable the Private Mode
You must first understand how to remove the Incognito tabs from your browser before we can discuss fully turning off Incognito Mode. You probably find yourself dismissing those private tabs more frequently than not—just shutting off the browser.
That's not the proper approach, and if someone visits your browser, they may be able to get a preview of its contents. Having said that, the following is a brief overview of how to disable Incognito Mode on the majority of popular browsers:
Close Chrome's Incognito Mode

Turn Off Edge's Incognito Mode
Edge has a dedicated button in the tab overview that makes it easier to dismiss all Incognito tabs at once, even if shutting individual Incognito tabs (InPrivate in Edge) is still similar to closing tabs on Chrome. Turn Off Safari's Incognito Mode
The user interface (UI) of Safari on Mac and iOS differs somewhat from other browsers, so if you're not familiar with Apple products, you could find it difficult to disable Incognito Mode, or Private Browsing in Safari.

How to Turn Off Incognito Mode Permanently
Now that you know how to easily deactivate Incognito mode, it's time to take things a step further and remove the function completely. Sadly, there aren't any trustworthy third-party applications available for Android right now that allow you to deactivate Incognito in browsers. For that reason, a PC or an iPhone are required.
Turn off Google Chrome's incognito mode
Back in the day, there were several very decent incognito blocking programs. None of these apps—like Incognito and Disable Incognito Mode—were accessible when we went back to the Play Store. Sadly, the only way to turn off Chrome's incognito mode is to use your Windows or Mac computer. It's also not too hard to do. You'll get it right if you just pay a little attention. The steps are as follows:
Using Windows- Firstly, summon Windows Search via the dedicated button on your keyboard or manually click on the Windows icon.
- Next, type in “CMD” and right-click on the top result that shows up.
- Select Run as administrator and then Yes in the User Control Window.
- Then, just type in the following command in the CMD window:
REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome /v IncognitoModeAvailability /t REG_DWORD /d 1
. - Hit the Enter key, and that’s it. You see a message that reads “The operation completed successfully” signifying that the deed is done!

REG DELETE. Next, just enter .Indeed, press Reentering should solve the issue!Using Mac- Head over to Finder > Go > Utilities and open the Terminal app from here.
- When in Terminal, type in the following command:
defaults write com.google.chrome IncognitoModeAvailability -integer 1
and hit the Enter key.
Turn Off Microsoft Edge's InPrivate Browsing (Windows)
Similar to Chrome, Microsoft Edge lacks an integrated feature or third-party applications for disabling InPrivate Browsing. On a Windows computer, however, you may turn off the browser service. Take these actions to achieve that- Summon the Start menu to search for “Registry Editor” and select it.
- In the next User Account Control panel, hit Yes, and from the left panel, double right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
- Then, head over to SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft.
- Now, right-click on Microsoft and select New > Key and name this key “MicrosoftEdge”.
- Next, right-click on the new MicrosoftEdge key and select New > Key again. This time, name this key “Main”.
- Then, right-click on Main > Key > DWORD (32-bit) > name the sub-key “AllowInPrivate”.
- Finally, just double-click on AllowInPrivate and set the value to “1”.
Turn Off Safari's Private Browsing (Mac and iPhone)
You can quickly stop private browsing in Safari by going to the Screen Time settings on your Mac or iPhone. There are a few interface-side variations even if the procedure is the same on both systems. We have thus created sections just for it. View below:On a Mac- Summon Spotlight Search with the Command + Spacebar shortcut and search for Settings. Hit the Enter key.
- When in Settings, from the left panel, select Screen Time > Content & Privacy.
- Next, select Store, Web, Siri & Game Center Content or Content Restrictions.
- At the top, click on the Access to Web Content dropdown and select Limit Adult Websites.
- Navigate to the Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Turn on the Content & Privacy Restrictions toggle if it’s not turned on already and select Store, Web, Siri & Game Center Content from the list of options.
- Next, tap on Web Content and select Limit Adult Websites.
Turn off Private Windows in Firefox (Mac and Windows)
On iOS and Android, Firefox's incognito mode cannot be disabled, although it is simple to do so on Windows and Mac. Here's how to do it:- On Firefox, click on the hamburger icon at the top right and select Add-ons and themes. Or, you can use the Ctrl + Shift + A keyboard shortcut to summon this menu.
- Next, type in “private begone” in the search panel and hit the Enter key.
- You will be taken to Firefox’s add-ons page. Here, select Private Begone from the search results and click on Add to Firefox > Add.
- When adding it to Firefox, check the Allow this extension to run in Private Windows box. Else, it won’t work as intended. You can also allow it later by heading over to Add-ons and theme > Private Begone.
