How NYT Strands Are Played
Here's a little explanation on how to play NYT Strands for new players before we get to the puzzle:
- Using your mouse or fingers (if on a touchscreen), you need to connect letters on a grid to form words. You can drag your mouse to connect letters vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- Look for the Spangram or the central theme word, which will help you make more sense of the Strands theme.
- Apart from the Spangram, you need to find other theme words in the puzzle, finding all of which will solve the puzzle.

You are probably ready to view the answers if you have scrolled this far. Now, let's examine the Strands topic words for today:
- SHIFT
- ENTER
- DELETE
- SPACE
- CONTROL
- ESCAPE
- RETURN
You'll quickly understand today's subject after you identify a few terms. During my exploration, I first discovered the phrases SHIFT and ENTER on the right, with SPACE in the center. This lead me to recognize today's Spangram, which I then discovered to be KEYBOARD.
Now, all that remained was to locate the words and memorize the different keyboard keys. Then I joined the other letters to create DELETE, CONTROL, and ESCAPE. Finally, it took me a while to understand that RETURN is the last word.
