In The Boys Comics, how does Homelander die, and who kills him?
Homelander is back and more terrifying than ever in The Boys Season 4. But even the most evil monsters eventually come to an end, and Homelander is no exception. Homelander had a really dishonorable end in the comic books, and I think it was well-earned. Now, the issue is who murdered Homelander in The Boys comics and how he died.
Black Noir Killed Homelander in the Comics
Credit for image: IMDbAccording to The Boys Season 4, Homelander is organizing a coup in order to seize control of the whole nation. It is somewhat comparable to his actions in the comic books. Although the show's plot does not match the comic books' plot line exactly, it does follow a similar general framework. The Black Noir was revealed in the comic book to be a clone of Homelander made by Vought as a backup plan to assassinate Homelander should he ever get out of control.But Black Noir was desperate to murder Homelander, so he disguised himself as Homelander and committed horrible acts. Now since the original Homelander cannot remember ever committing such acts, he begins to think he has gone insane, which causes him to become a psychotic villain.In the comics, Homelander takes control of the Oval Office and, while preparing to face Butcher, Black Noir appears and divulges all information to Homelander. Following this, Black Noir and Homelander fight, during which Black Noir almost instantaneously kills Homelander by ripping out his intestines. Since Black Noir murdered Homelander in the comics, it is quite improbable that The Boys would follow the same storyline. Black Noir's character was altered. It's unlikely that he will murder Homelander in the episode given his prior history. Who in The Boys TV series can kill Homelander, then?
Ryan or the Soldier Boy Might Kill the Boys' Homelander
Picture Credit: IMDbMany of us want Homelander dead by now, and the only two characters in the show who have the strength to do it are Soldier Boy and Ryan. As seen in Season 3, Queen Maeve lost all of her abilities after being exposed to Soldier Boy's radiation explosion. even later in Season 4 of The Boys, or even in Season 5, Soldier Boy makes a reappearance and kills Homelander effectively this time.Ryan, Homelander's son, is another person capable of killing him. As shown in The Boys Season 4, Ryan still feels conflicted about his father's methods while having a strong affection for him. He even admits to his father that helping others comes before wanting to be better than others. I believe Ryan will turn against Homelander and perhaps even murder him once he learns about what Homelander is planned. So, will we have to wait for another season of Homelander, or will we get to witness it happen in Season 4?
