Answer for Connections on April 1

Have you managed to solve the problem yet? Then the following are the answers to today's Connections:
  • FOOD SLANG FOR MONEY – Bread, Bacon, Lettuce, Cheese
  • WORDS THAT RHYME – Plane, Rain, Train, Brain
  • HORROR MOVIES – Alien, Scream, Dracula, Saw
  • LETTER HOMOPHONES – Ewe, Bee, Eye, Tea
By exchanging words for emojis today, the NYT Connections elevated the problem to a whole new level! Admittedly, when I initially glanced at the grid, I was astonished. Everything made sense when I saw the date. I started my adventure by figuring out the Yellow category. I already knew rather well that the words meant money, except from the word lettuce.I continued on to the Green area after that. Like previously, it was not too difficult to figure out what the terms Plane and Brain meant. I understood it too since it rhymes. The Blue portion was the next, and I thought I understood everything except for the Scream emoji. But nothing that a few quiet minutes of reflection won't resolve. There were just four words remaining, as usual. I combined them all and figured out the Purple category and the April 1 NYT Connections puzzle.
