How to Modify or Delete Users from the Spotify Family Plan

With Spotify's Premium Family Plan, up to six people living at the same location may take use of all the premium features. The main idea behind the Family Plan is that, in comparison to the Individual Plan, it offers outstanding value for money. You must invite family members to your plan after buying the Family Plan; here's how to do that. Create a Spotify Family Plan and add or delete members.

Participate on the Spotify Family Plan with additional members

It's quite easy to add members to the Spotify Family Plan. To begin inviting others, just go into your Spotify account.

Using PC
  1. Go to spotify.com/account on a web browser and sign in to your Spotify account if you haven’t already.
  2. Click on Manage Members under “Subscriptions”.
  3. If you have slots vacant, copy the link and send it to the person you want to invite.
  4. The other person will need to open the link, click on Accept invite and log in to their existing Spotify account.
  5. Spotify will then ask the user to enter the address. Do note that this address needs to be the same as the one that shows up inside the “Your address” section on your Spotify account.

The invitees need to be included in your Spotify Premium Family Plan.

Via Phone

Through the iOS or Android Spotify app, you can also extend invitations to others to join your Premium Family membership. The method is as follows.

  1. Launch Spotify on your smartphone and tap your profile at the top-left.
  2. Here, go to Settings and privacy > Account.
  1. On the next screen, select Premium Family and tap X accounts available. Here, X is the number of available slots.
  2. Tap on Invite members.

After that, you may post the invitation on WhatsApp and other social media networks.

Take A Member Out of the Family Plan

You may remove someone from your Premium Family membership if you decide they should no longer be a part of it. This will be the last time this individual may use the features of your Spotify Family plan.

Using PC
  1. Go to your Spotify Account page and click on Manage Members under “Subscriptions”.
  2. Select the person you want to remove from the “Plan members” section.
  3. On the next page, click on Remove from plan.

The user you have chosen will no longer be included in your Premium Family subscription.

Via Phone
  1. Go to your Account screen on the Spotify app and select Premium Family.
  2. Now, tap on the user you wish to remove from the “Plan members” section.
  3. Tap on Remove to confirm removal on the next screen.

Your Premium Family Membership will now be terminated for the chosen individual.
