You Can Designate Favorite Contacts for Fast Calling on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is adding new capabilities to its already extensive feature set with each upgrade. This time, the feature that's being upgraded is voice calling. WhatsApp is testing the functionality that allows users to mark certain contacts as favorites since calling has become a standard feature of the messaging service. Instead of fumbling with the contacts list, you will be able to reach with only a single touch thanks to this.

WhatsApp beta #24.3.10.70 for iOS indicates that you will soon be able to mark contacts as favorites inside the app, according to the most recent report from WABetaInfo.

You may search contacts and add them to your favorites list, as seen in the picture below. These connections (probably) will show up at the top of the Calls tab. Thus, you may quickly call them by tapping on their name.

I assume that this functionality will function similarly to the ability to pin certain conversations. The top of the conversations tab is constantly occupied with pinned contacts. All that is currently shown on the calls page is a history of the calls you have made and received inside the app. You have to go through the record for the person's number before you may call them. Alternatively, you may phone them from their profile. This will be the only interaction with the "favorites" contact.

However, even in beta releases, this functionality is still in the early phases of development and not yet accessible for testing. As a result, the precise release timeframe is unknown, but hopefully it will reach all stable users shortly. Even though I don't use WhatsApp for many calls, I can imagine many users finding it helpful, particularly the older population who sometimes have trouble navigating the software.

How do you feel about this new function and how often do you use WhatsApp for phone calls? Tell us in the comments section below.
