WhatsApp on Desktop Restores the Ability to View Photos and Videos Once!

The "view-once" option for images and videos was removed by Meta from its WhatsApp applications for Windows and macOS about a year ago. Most people loved this feature, thus it was disliked when it was removed. But it seems like Meta is bringing the functionality back with the most recent WhatsApp for Desktop version.

The view-once functionality, which WABetaInfo first noticed, is returning to WhatsApp Desktop versions. This comprises the most recent iterations of WhatsApp Web as well as the official WhatsApp applications for Windows and macOS.

Furthermore, according to WABeta, all clients that are compatible should soon acquire the functionality, which is now "rolling out." It will also be able to send 'view-once' messages via WhatsApp for iPad.

You may transmit any kind of picture or video that the receiver can only see once by using the 'view-once' feature. Comparably, once you see a view-once message, you won't be able to see it again. Utilizing this function is essential. It was taken down due to "privacy concerns," yet many users objected to its removal. Thank goodness, it's returning.

This feature is of incalculable value. You may need to send or receive "view-once" communications with images or videos in a variety of scenarios. Prior to this latest update, you couldn't even check out a conversation if you received a "view-once" message if you were using the WhatsApp site (or PC program) and needed a phone to read the message. These days, WhatsApp's cross-platform chatting capabilities function flawlessly.

What do you think of WhatsApp for Windows (and macOS) apps adding view-once images and videos? Isn't it a cool feature that improves the messaging app's internet privacy? Tell us in the comments section below.
