In addition to having a ton of action, The Boys Season 4 sent viewers on an emotional rollercoaster with Hughie. Hughie decided to buy coffee instead of injecting his father with the compound when he visited the hospital with Compound V. On the other hand, his father suddenly emerged from his coma upon his return. So, did Hughie's mother give his father a Compound V injection? And now he's a Supe if she did. You must be wondering what Hughie's father's abilities are. Yes, I do have a response.
Indeed, Hughie's mother used compound V to inject his father.
Hughie's mother saw compound V in his hands in The Boys Season 4 Episode 4, and he immediately placed it in his jacket pocket as he was debating whether or not to give it to his dad. Hughie left his jacket behind and went to buy coffee, giving the impression that she was trying desperately to rescue her husband. We briefly noticed Hughie's dad's drip become blue as his mother gave him a Compound V injection.
What Potential Strengths Hughie's Father May Have
Given that Compound V restored Hughie's father's health, there's a good chance he now has superhuman abilities. The key question at this point is: What abilities may Hughie's father possess? For that, I have a hypothesis. Since Hughie and his father have the same DNA, Compound V may have the same effect on Hughie that Temp V did on him, giving Hughie's father the ability to teleport. This might happen in The Boys Season 3 when Hughie took Temp V.
Given that Homelander's son Ryan has Homelander's abilities, I believe this to be feasible. In a similar vein, Andre Anderson in Generation V demonstrated the same ability to manipulate magnetism as his father, Polarity.
Who knows, if this is effective from father to son, it could also be effective from son to father. To find out whether this is true or not, we will have to wait until episode 5, since everything here is strictly theoretical and based only on analysis. Keep checking back with us for further information till then!
