Older Devices' Visual Performance Will Be Degraded by the Genshin Impact Natlan Update

Version 5.0 of the Natlan upgrade, which Genshin Impact plans to release following version 4.7, will be available. Possibly even larger than the Fontaine update, the Natlan update will include the Pyro Archon and will be one of the largest in Genshin Impact's history. The developers want to go all out with the Natlan update with the introduction of the Genshin Impact tale. With Genshin Impact version 5.0, the Genshin developers want to make significant graphic changes.

In a recent tweet on their official X (Twitter) account, Genshin Impact alerted gamers to the impending graphic makeover that is scheduled for version 5.0. The article discloses that In 5.0, Genshin Impact will be improving the game's general functionality and graphics, necessitating higher system specs.

Concerning players with outdated devices, don't worry—version 5.0 will maintain the same minimal needs. Stricter performance optimization techniques and reduced visual performance for older devices are the ways they want to accomplish this. The following devices will be impacted by the decreased visual performance:

  • iOS: Models with an A12 processor (or lower)
  • Android: Models with a Snapdragon 865, Dimensity 1200 (8050), Kirin 9000SL, or Samsung Exynos 1080 processor (or lower)
  • PlayStation: PlayStation 4 Series (all)

The explanation for the diminished visual performance is the reduction in the effect range of some special effects and the sharpness of certain picture details of smaller objects. What do you think of the Visual Overhaul that Genshin Impact has planned for Natlan? Please let us know in the comments.
