The launch date for the Plus version of the Nothing Phone (2a) has been revealed.

Nothing uploaded to X twice a few days ago; the first time was an image of the Flying/Rock-type Pokemon Aerodactyl, and the second time was a "+" emoji. The firm has recently disclosed that Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will shortly appear, so we can now understand the meaning of these postings a little better.

Something uploaded a picture to X with the captions, "Plus. More. Extra." and "Get ready for Phone (2a) Plus on July 31." This implies that the business is preparing to release an enhanced or larger version of the Nothing Phone (2a) (review), which was introduced a few months ago.

One of the greatest mid-range smartphones available is the Phone (2a). For those who don't know, it has two rear cameras, a 5,000 mAh battery, and the Dimensity 7200 Pro that Nothing and MediaTek co-developed.

Right now, not much is known about the Plus model or the possible benefits it may provide. Some people think this could be the Phone (2a) community edition, however that's probably not the case.

If anything, the Phone (2a) Plus will likely attempt to make up for the shortcomings of the Phone (2a), such as the cameras, wireless charging, and the very difficult-to-clean rear design. Additionally, we hope that it has a more potent SoC because, well, why not? Furthermore, Plus could also refer to a bigger form factor.

Seeing how the Phone (2a) Plus develops as an enhanced variant of the Phone (2a) will be fascinating to watch. What are your impressions on the news? Tell us in the comments below.
