Creating Events in WhatsApp Communities: A Guide

WhatsApp communities bring together individuals with similar interests in the subject matter of the group. It might be about a certain video game, television series, pop celebrity, or even online courses. However, organizing or planning events may be challenging due to the scale of these groups. The good news is that you can now plan and arrange events within groups directly from the WhatsApp app. Therefore, we'll go over this feature in greater detail and demonstrate its operation in this post.

How Does WhatsApp Communities' Event Feature Operate?

Since October of last year, WhatsApp has been working on the event feature. Although it seemed to be exclusive to organizations at the time, communities may now use it. It enables you to schedule activities for a certain day, and community members may choose whether or not to attend.

You may access the feature, Polls, Contacts, and Audio from the attachment menu. When an event is created, With the option to specify the location, you may add a name, description for the event, date, and time. Additionally, there is a toggle to initiate a voice or video chat using WhatsApp. Upon creating an event, everyone in the community will get notification. The Community information website will provide access to event details as well.
