Following the debut of the shapeshifter in the final episode revealed be the primary mastermind behind the mayhem in the epilogue, their last scheme to assassinate the president was foiled by Starlight. An already enraged Homelander became much more so as a consequence.

Victoria Neuman, a super-abled woman, was warned by him to follow his new plan or else he would massacre her family. Victoria was forced to jump ship in order to get the safe haven and future she had always desired from The Boys in exchange for their assistance in killing Homelander and Vought International.

Ryan eliminates Butcher's Powers and Grace Mallory Unveiled and

Now that we had the supe-killing virus in hand, we could finally put a stop to Homelander's evil schemes. So, using his new tentacle power, Butcher killed Victoria Neuman, thereby butchering our trump card.

Just as the overwhelmed Ryan killed his aunt Grace Mallory and followed his own way, Butcher, who had at last accepted Joe Kessler's version of himself, too went insane. Season 5 will expose Butcher's grand finale preparations, which include the murder of Victoria and the theft of the superkilling virus from the crew.

Ashley Berrett, whose last name is Berrett, Deep, does, in the meanwhile, take up compound V in order to protect herself from being killed by The Deep. Ashley's abilities were partially disclosed, but for a short moment, it seemed as if she was expanding outside of her body. Ashley may not be alive, but it's unclear whether she made it through the dose of Compound V. She will be featured more in either Gen V Season 2 or The Boys Season 5.

The Plan of Sister Sage

The optimism we had was destroyed by Butcher's sudden intention to assassinate Neuman. But, it unintentionally assisted Homelander in the front and Sister Sage in achieving their goals. After video of Robert Singer was released to the public, it was revealed that he had expressed a desire to murder Victoria.

Sage helped Calhoun become president by skillfully taking advantage of this tumultuous scenario and forced him to vow allegiance to a defenseless Homelander. Thus, with Sage's help, Homelander's ambition of ruling his native nation was realized.

They were able to effectively establish martial rule with the president's support, and Homelander's foes were helped by the US military and the troops of supes. The surviving players attempt to flee in all directions as this ultimate game reaches its last level and Butcher betrays the group.

But while the Boys members Hughie, Frenchie, Kimiko, and MM attempted to escape the nation, the aforementioned troops from Gen V—Love Sausage (Derek Johns), Cindy (Ess Hödlmoser), Cate (Madelaine Rachel Phillips), and Sam (Asa Germann)—arrested them. More of these new Supes will be seen in the now in development Gen V Season 2.

With her superpowers, only Starlight, also known as Annie, was able to escape, and it seems that she would play the role of rescuer in the next season. Conversely, we see Butcher assuming the role of the lone wolf—well, not really, as he has Kessler at his side—in order to begin the supes' slaughter.

Soldier Boy is seen in the mid-credit scene of "The Boys" season four.

The writers chose to include a surprise as a mid-credits scene when season 4 came to a close. The revelation that Soldier Boy is still alive is made during the mid-credit sequence. (kept within a cryogenic cell), and at the very end, he receives a visit from his son Homelander. If these two decide to collaborate once again, The Boys' Season 5 is going to become even more sinister!
