Every day, we get a ton of messages on WhatsApp. Don't forget about the spam communications from companies, even whether they are from friends, family, coworkers, or organizations. All of this has the potential to quickly overload your chat window and make it challenging to locate the messages you were searching for. WhatsApp seems to have recognized this problem as well, because they are releasing chat filters on the app.
Chat filters will soon be available on your phone, as WhatsApp said in a blog post. You will be able to quickly sort messages using these, which will show up at the top of the chat window—possibly under the search box. There will be three different categories in which to find the filters.
Everything: This will display every message and conversation you've had.Unread: All of the messages that you haven't read or opened yet will be shown by this filter.Groups: All of the WhatsApp groups you are a member of will appear in one location when you use this filter. facilitating your simple catch-up on the fascinating discourse you were missing.Users have been asking for filters on WhatsApp for years, so it's wonderful to see that the feature will eventually be included. The blog states that the feature will start rolling out today and should soon be available on your devices in the next weeks. For that reason, if you want this functionality as soon as possible, make sure you keep WhatsApp updated.
It would be simple to arrange and manage your conversations if you have filters. Particularly if, like me, you have trouble sifting through your older texts. While I think this is a good start, I would like it if WhatsApp included a feature similar to Telegram's where users could create folders. This will help with organizing even more, and you may categorize conversations according to your tastes.
However, what do you think of this impending feature? And have you already gotten your chat filters? Please share your story in the comments.
