The NYT Strand for today is BROADWAY, referring to musical theater productions. It is arranged on the letters grid from top to bottom.

You are probably ready to view the answers if you have scrolled this far. Now, let's examine the topic words for today in Strands:

As usual, we began by messing about and writing random words on the board to start the game. When we happened onto CATS, Akshay proclaimed that it had to be about musical theater. We discovered BROADWAY to be the Spangram as a result.

Then, in the upper left corner of the Spangram, we discovered WICKED running vertically. We unintentionally discovered HAIRSPRAY under it, and it turned out to be a theme word. That was a play, who knew? Unfortunately, it was the extent of our understanding regarding broadways, and we were forced to turn to Google.

Google's automatically created listicle helped us locate GREASE and CAROUSEL. Then, with only the upper right corner remaining to solve, we were unable to do so. In order to eventually create CAROUSEL from the grids, we had to depend on some assistance. We have now completed our most agonizing Strands solution.

Although we didn't utilize any tips, we did depend a lot on AI and Google. Therefore, they definitely qualify as clues, and to be honest, we struggled with today's game. It seems that Akshay and I have a long way to go.
