How to Move Playlists from Spotify to Apple Music (2024)

The ever-growing audiophile in you is undoubtedly feeling too constrained by Spotify's lack of Hi-Res and Lossless audio, even if the service's repertoire and suggestions are excellent. Thus, it makes sense if you're considering switching to Apple Music as it offers all those advantages. However, it might be inconvenient to have to start over from beginning when using a new provider. If so, moving your Spotify playlists to Apple Music is a simple process that lets you start listening again. Let's look at the easiest methods to do it, as we have provided them for your convenience!

Sadly, playlist transfers are not supported natively by Spotify or Apple Music. You are therefore forced to rely on third-party tools. Although there are several third-party applications and solutions available for transferring Spotify playlists to Apple Music, I found that Tune My Music and Playlisty were the most effective.

1. Tune My Music Utilizing

The nicest part about Tune My Music is that you can move your Spotify playlists to Apple Music without the requirement for an app. Alternatively, you may access the online version by using the preferred browser on your PC or mobile device. Thus, we outlined the methods using Microsoft Edge on a Windows computer. Look at this:

  • Firstly, head over to Tune My Music and click on the Let’s start button.
,
  • Then, from the list of available apps, click on the Spotify icon.
,
  • In the pop-up window, login to your Spotify account and click on Agree to “Allow Spotify to connect to: TuneMyMusic”.
,
  • On the next page, select Load from Spotify account.
,
  • Your playlists will load up in a while. Here, select the playlists that you want to transfer by clicking on the adjacent checkbox.
  • You can also expand the playlists by hovering over the side-pointing adjacent arrow, which then becomes a down arrow. Then, you can select specific songs to transfer from your Spotify playlists this way.
  • Once done, select Choose Destination from the bottom and select the Apple Music icon from the list of available icons.
,
  • Then, just like with Spotify, you will need to login to your Apple Music account. Once that’s done, hit Start Transfer.
, and
Take note:TuneMyMusic will notify you if you have chosen any Favorite Artists from Spotify that are not accessible on Apple Music. "Performers cannot be moved to Apple Music.".
  • Your playlists will start transferring and the process ends rather quickly displaying the “Transfer completed!” window.

That concludes our discussion. To discover the moved Spotify playlists, just go to your Apple Music account. Be aware that some songs may seem to be "missing" while the transfer is happening. This suggests that the Apple Music library itself does not include such songs.

Even though the catalogs of most music streaming services these days are similar, many underappreciated songs won't be accessible on every platform. Also, you may transfer 500 tunes with TuneMyMusic's free edition. You will need to pay the fee, which begins at $2 per month and is payable yearly, in order to transfer more. The cost of the monthly plan is $4.5.

2. Playlisty (Only for iOS)

While users on other platforms may use Tune My Music to move their Spotify playlists to Apple Music, iOS users can also use Playlisty (Download, free), which is another useful application. Use these instructions to use this iOS-only app:

, , , , , Observation:Currently, Playlisty's free edition lets you store the first 20 songs in every playlist. You must purchase the Pro premium tier in order to preserve them all.
  • Next, hit Start and your Spotify playlists will start saving to Apple Music. Finally, hit Done when the process completes and that’s it. Visit Apple Music to find all the saved Spotify playlists here.

That should now make it simple and hassle-free for you to move your Spotify playlists to Apple Music. These are my personal favorites, but feel free to experiment and find the one that works best for you.
