Will Season 2 of Fallout be a TV Series?
You all must have witnessed how the first season ended on a cliffhanger, teasing the Fallout series for a follow-up season, and enjoyed spending time exploring post-nuclear Los Angeles with Lucy. In order to quench your curiosity, Prime Video and the Fallout crew formally announced earlier today that the Fallout series has been renewed for season 2 via a tweet on the X platform, which you can see below:
The California Film Commission (via THR) revealed a list of TV program projects that have been approved for production and will get tax credits to begin filming in the Golden State a few days before to the debut of Fallout Season 1.
Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video from Kilter Films, which has an approximate $154 million budget, was one of those that was named. This verified that the production crew would be relocating for Season 2 to the West Coast from Utah, where Season 1 was mostly shot.
As we had anticipated, the California Film Commission confirmed that a second season is probably in the works. However, an official statement from Prime Video confirmed this.
Outlook for Fallout Season 2's Release
Recently, we received a lot of information from showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. In response to a question on Fallout season 2's release date, Wagner indicated they were reluctant to provide an approximate date but revealed the following:
However, we are moving as quickly as we can and have already completed a majority of the labor-intensive tasks from Season 1. Sets, props, and visual effects are already completed. We are off to a fast start this season. In order to release season two as soon as humanly feasible, we will be applying maximum pressure.
The team is working hard to finish filming Fallout season 2 as soon as possible now that the production set is finished. Their X account gave this news the thumbs up with an okey dokey sign:
Filming the first season of Fallout took the production team around a year. In theory, they could finish production in a year or a year and a half if the sets, props, visual effects, etc. were already ready. As a result, as of right now, Fallout season 2 is anticipated to launch sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.
